Bring Wadaiko Drums to Central Washington University
Donation protected
We are Diana and Daniel, the two club presidents of the newly founded Central Washington University Wadaiko Club, and the former presidents of the Pierce College Wadaiko Club.
At Pierce, we were able to showcase the unique art of Wadaiko, or Japanese drumming, in an environment that fostered learning and appreciation for the art form.
When we transferred to Central Washington University, we sought to bring the same enriching cultural experience we enjoyed to our new school and community, but quickly hit a roadblock.
Why We Need Your Help:
Our club is almost ready to succeed, but right now we're missing the most important piece—the drums! Without them, we can't practice or perform. Wadaiko drums are handcrafted, which makes them expensive, and funding from our school alone won't be enough for the club to fully function.
How Your Support Helps:
Your donation will directly fund the purchase of drums and other essential equipment, such as the drum sticks or stands. With help from you, we'll be ready to support our school and give back to the community that allowed us to fulfill our dreams.
Thank you.
