Hello everyone, my name is Valeria Cortes. I am a 14 year old that is trying to raise funds. I'm raising funds because my dad got unfairly arrested and was sent to ICE. I want to get my dad out of such horrible place, but we don't have the money to do so. My dad is an essential person in my life. He's been one of my main supporters since I was born and he always tries his best to make my brother and I have the chances the other kids have in this country. Without him our days have become insufferable and we're counting the days to have him by our side again. He fought for years to give us the life he thinks we deserve in this country. I believe that taking him away and trying the impossible to make him leave this country is an inhumane act that is affecting not only my family, but millions of families around the United States. It has been over 5 months since they took him and we're fighting as much as we can without a lawyer. He's a good father and he doesn't deserve to be treated this way. Everyone deserves a second chance, and even more if they didn't do anything wrong in life. He's been mistreated, assaulted, and even more throughout these years, and he's still fighting to be by his family as much as he can. I'm currently a High School student going into 10th grade in one of the top ranked schools in Texas, while my brother is a 1st grader and one of the top students in his class, we're not in the position of leaving the country right now. We're living with my mom and we're struggling quite a lot as people can expect. My dad always made sure we had the best education, and I don't want to throw that chance he gave us with his hard work away. We would really appreciate any kind of help in this moment of crisis, thank you so much for your attention.
