Dear Friends. We are devastated to share that our efforts to bring Vicente and Jose home to their families have proven unsuccessful. Despite nearly three decades building deep roots in Williamson County, thousands of people vouching for their character, an exhausting legal battle, and nearly 5 months in ICE detention, both Vicente and Jose have requested voluntary deportation to Mexico. I'm sure you can imagine all the details and stress involved in uprooting their lives and businesses here and moving to a country without community, friends, and members of their very tight knit family. I would love to help make this load a bit lighter. The Reyes family wanted to share their overwhelming gratitude from your continued support over these past 4 1/2 months.
