My name is James, and I’m reaching out for support to bring my stage show, “The Quest for the Ferry Tail Monster,” to life. This historical fiction performance is set in Cascade Locks and is designed to entertain tourists throughout the spring, summer, and fall. During the winter, I plan to take the show on tour to conventions and conferences around the region, helping to promote tourism and share the unique spirit of Cascade Locks with even more people.
Unfortunately, I didn’t receive the grant funding I applied for, which has made it challenging to cover the costs of building props, creating costumes, and gathering the supplies needed for the show. Despite this setback, my passion for performing and storytelling remains strong. I’ve been entertaining audiences since I was four years old, and nothing brings me more joy than making people laugh and surprising them with unexpected twists. This project is especially close to my heart because I believe it can uplift spirits and bring joy to our community at a time when we all need it most.
With the help of a good friend, I’m building a unique steampunk vardo—a rolling mystery box full of surprises and delights that will be the centerpiece of the show. Your contribution will go directly toward the materials needed to build this vardo, as well as costumes and other essential supplies. By supporting this project, you’ll be helping to create unforgettable experiences for thousands of people and keeping the arts alive in our community. Thank you for considering a donation and for believing in the power of live performance to bring people together.
Follow along as I build the vardo, try out costumes, gather props. I'm filming everything so you get the insiders' point-of-view.
