Bring Stability to a Reunited Family

It’s with a heavy heart I have to reach out for assistance.

5.5 years ago my ex was awarded full custody of my daughter due to having an attorney and I represented myself. This was no fault of my own. I fled from him after years of abuse (mental, emotional, and eventually physical). When I left I was jobless in another state and it took about 6 months to get established enough to have my own place at which point I was planning to have all of my kids back with me. The other (non joint) kids were with me but he refused to let her come.

He's spent the last 5.5 years controlling and manipulating those around me including my daughter and I’ve prayed for God to let me see the light.

July 30, he shot somebody 3 times in the abdomen, ran them over, then fled the scene. August 1st he was arrested with the assistance of Tactical Negotiation Teams in Hillsboro, Oregon and THANK HEAVENS she was here in Utah with me. He is facing attempted murder, assault 1, unlawful possession charges and likely be going to prison for a very long time.

I now have all of my children under one roof (wahoo!) but my daughter is heartbroken and there are still legalities.

I’ve been paying an insane amount of child support that has kept me broke! I’ve got to go to Oregon to file the legal paperwork to not be in contempt and to file for full sole custody and get the child support terminated. In order to get this accomplished, I do need to raise funds for an Airbnb and food to get to Oregon. I’ve already spent my funds on a rental car and have $200 set aside for gas. I also need $360 to file the modification , a bed for her, a dresser, and to be able to purchase school clothes for all 5 of our kiddos.

While this has been a blessing for the unification of my little family (having all of us back under one roof full time) it is a legal, emotional, and financial nightmare.

We just want to say every penny counts and if everybody could send a few dollars we would be SO grateful!
