Bring Smiles to Jamaica: Mia Greene’s 2025 Mission Trip
Donation protected
Hello! My name is Mia Greene, and I am a third-year dental student at Meharry Medical College. I am incredibly honored and grateful to be one of just 25 dental students selected to join the Jamaica Awareness Association of California (JAAC) for a 7-day mission trip. JAAC was founded in 1987 and is made up of volunteers dedicated to making a difference in the lives of the underprivileged, primarily in education and health. JAAC is one of the leading Jamaican organizations in the United States that is on a mission to aid those in need on the beautiful island of Jamaica. Alongside a team of dedicated dental and medical professionals, educators, pharmacists, nutritionists, and volunteers, we will work to provide comprehensive healthcare to do just that!
Volunteering has always been a passion of mine, but this opportunity is especially meaningful. As someone with Jamaican roots, this mission is deeply personal—a chance not only to give back to my heritage but to grow into the best dental provider I can be. This experience will be invaluable and is such a blessing for all. I am thrilled to be part of something that will have a lasting impact on so many lives.
Fundraising Goal: $2,000
