Bring Ro Home - Our Kids Need Their Dad Back

I never thought I’d be in a position where I’d need to ask for help like this.

My partner and best friend, Roher Canales, Ro to those who know him, was deported by ICE due to a paperwork delay while he was actively working on legalizing his status. He’s lived in the U.S. since he was 10 months old, has no criminal record, and has worked hard as a welder to support our family.

His sudden removal has deeply affected our children. Our daughter, who is autistic, doesn’t understand why her dad isn’t here. He was her comfort and routine, and she asks for him every day. Our 12-year-old son is also struggling. He had to change schools after being bullied because of Ro’s deportation. This is a critical time in his life when he truly needs his dad.

While Ro’s legal team works to correct the error and bring him home, I’m trying to hold things together—caring for our kids, managing my health, and carrying the financial weight alone.
