A Texas Judge took 8-year-old Ray away from his mother in Central Texas and shipped him to Ohio to live with two men.

Brittany Darby, an Associate Judge to the Bell County District Court judge gave custody of 8-year-old Ray to Tyler and Trevor in Toledo, Ohio, taking Ray out of Texas and away from his mother.
Associate Judge Darby made this ruling despite:
- No CPS calls or complaints were made
- Ray’s mother has no criminal record, no evictions
- No psychological evaluation was performed or expert witnesses called
- No professional investigation was performed
- No Experts were called to declare Ray’s mother unfit.
Ray’s Mother is a licensed massage therapist in. Central Texas who has run her own successful business for 18 years. She is a stable, loving mother who has raised her son with care and devotion.
Despite this, Associate Judge Darby decided that Ray would be better off without his mother, in another state, away from his home, friends and family. Judge Darby decided this on her own without the input from any other agency, professionals, or expert opinion.
How does this happen in a state that claims to protect mothers and children?
We should all be scared if it takes so little to have your children taken away.
Ray’s mother has fought with everything she has to keep her son. To afford attorney’s fees, she has draining her savings account, gotten loans, and exhausted her network and all other resources.
She has done everything the court required of her: completed every task, followed every rule, passed every drug test, and met every demand. Still, when the final ruling came down, the state of Texas ordered her son to be relocated to Ohio.
Ray and his Mother need your help. They cannot fight this battle alone!
All donations will be applied to legal fees to fights this injustice and bring Ray home to Texas. Any extra funds raised will be dedicated to Ray’s education.
