Bring Personalized Books to OKAT Children

Hello! We’re a team of students from the University of Georgia participating in a sustainable service learning project in partnership with the OKAT Children’s Center in Tanzania. During our time with the children, we had the opportunity to sit down with each of them one-on-one, listen to their stories, and truly get to know who they are—their dreams, their challenges, and what makes them shine.

Inspired by these incredible conversations, we wrote and illustrated personalized children’s books for each child—stories that reflect their lives, in their voices. These books celebrate who they are and remind them that their story matters.

Now, we need your help to bring these stories to life.

Our goal is to raise $401 to print and deliver a hard copy of each child’s personal book. That’s enough to ensure every child at OKAT receives a beautiful, lasting keepsake that honors their identity and encourages a lifelong love of reading.
