I am raising funds for my husband, Pedro Costa, who has been detained by ICE. Pedro came to the United States seeking asylum after trauma in his home country, and his detention has turned our family’s life upside down. He is a devoted husband, a loving father to our four young children, and the primary provider for our home.

Because Pedro is the only one working, his absence has created immediate financial hardship for our family. It is also affecting our children in very personal ways. This weekend, we were supposed to take the kids school shopping, and yesterday our daughter asked who would go shop with her. Moments like that have made this situation even more painful for us as we try to support our children through so much uncertainty.

The funds raised will be used to pay for an immigration lawyer and to help secure Pedro’s bond. We need this support within the next two weeks so we can do everything possible to bring him home to his family.

Pedro has always been there for us, and right now we are asking for help. Any donation, no matter the amount, and any share of this fundraiser would mean so much to our family during this urgent time.
