Earlier this month, one of my neighbors — a legal asylum seeker doing everything the "right" way — was abducted by ICE. He has a chance of being able to return to his wife and children, but needs to be able to post bond after his upcoming hearing.
Please help us bring him home. We don't know exactly how much the bond will be set for, but the lawyer estimates it will likely be around $6,000. We are trying to raise that money ahead of the hearing on February 4th. That's not much time, but we believe it is possible.
If we raise $6000 and the bond ends up being less than that, we would like to spend that money in some other way to support the family - food, rent, legal fees that kind of thing. If that happens, I will send an email to donors letting them know.
