On August 19th, our lives changed in an instant. Our dad, Juan Marrujo, was simply a passenger in a car on his way home from work when police claimed the taillight was low. No ticket was issued, and he wasn’t even the one driving. Yet, ICE was called immediately, and he was taken into custody. He has since been processed to Monroe County.

We are raising $25,000 to cover urgent legal fees so that he can have the best chance to come home. His lawyer believes he has a strong case, but without help, we cannot cover the costs on our own.

Juan has lived in this country for over 20 years. He is not just our dad—he is our superhero. He is a man who:

    •    Built a construction company from the ground up

    •    Has worked in electricity, plumbing, mechanics, and more

    •    Once worked as a DJ, bringing joy to others through music

    •    Loves to cook (his food is the best!)

    •    And most importantly, has always worked hard to give his family a better life

He recently moved us to Michigan for better opportunities, always thinking of us first. He has four children who are U.S. citizens, and all we want is to have him home with us where he belongs.

Juan is deeply loved—not just by us, but by everyone who knows him. Our community sees him as someone who always gives a helping hand, puts family first, and never hesitates to do what’s right. Now, we’re asking for that same kindness and support for him.
