My name is Runfino Beca, and I am raising funds to support João Nzenza, known as “NGOMBO,” a hardworking, honest, and upright young man from Angola who was detained by ICE on January 20, 2026.
NGOMBO is alone in the United States. In an unexpected and traumatic way, he was taken into custody by immigration authorities, abruptly shattering his dreams. After enduring many difficult moments in his life, he believed that being here would finally bring him safety. Today, he lives in fear—frightened and uncertain about what tomorrow will bring. He has already been transferred to another detention facility and fears deportation at any moment.
NGOMBO is an active member of our church—a dedicated, respectful man committed to doing good. He poses no threat. On the contrary, he has always contributed positively to those around him, working honestly and living with dignity.
In this moment of deep anguish, NGOMBO urgently needs our solidarity. We are asking for your help to secure proper legal representation and to cover the necessary expenses so that he can be reunited with his family, his faith, and his community.
Every contribution, no matter the size, can mean the difference between despair and hope. Together, we can fight to ensure that NGOMBO is not another life destroyed by injustice and can come back home.
