My name is MaKayla. My husband, Napo, was detained by ICE in Tulsa, Oklahoma in the early morning hours of July 24, 2026, while on his way to a work conference to receive an award. He is hard-working, a dedicated partner, and has never had so much as a parking ticket on his record. We are currently experiencing what sadly, many other families are, and are unsure if he is going to be deported back to Mexico or if we have a chance at fighting the case. There are a lot of unknowns. Napo has supported me after getting laid off while finishing up my graduate degree and is currently our sole income. I am losing my home, and luckily staying with a friend for now. I am overwhelmed with the idea of anticipated attorneys fees, and/or the potential of moving our entire life to another country in the span of a few weeks’ time, without having any income to support that transition. Any help would be greatly appreciated, and thank you in advance for your kindness.
