Help Bring Nanu Home to Her Family
On Tuesday, July 1st, our beloved Nanu — a devoted mother, wife, small business owner, logistics operations manager, and youth soccer coach — was unjustly taken by ICE and is now being held at the Otay Mesa Detention Center.
Nanu came to the United States legally with her mother when she was just 9 months old. She grew up in the Central Valley, graduated from high school there, and has spent her entire life building a future in the only country she has ever known. While her family members who arrived with her were granted citizenship, Nanu’s paperwork slipped through the cracks — a heartbreaking oversight that has now turned her life upside down.
She is the heart of her family. Her 7-year-old son misses her deeply, and her wife is now left to carry the emotional and financial burden alone while fighting to bring Nanu home. Nanu is unable to work or support her family from detention, and they are in urgent need of legal representation to navigate this complex and costly process.
We are raising funds to help cover the legal fees necessary to secure Nanu’s release and fight for her right to remain with her family and community. Every donation, no matter the size, brings us one step closer to reuniting a mother with her child, a wife with her partner, and a friend with her community.
Please share, donate, and stand with Nanu and her family during this incredibly difficult time. Let’s bring her home.
Thank you for your support.
