Hi, my name is Erika Llapa and I'm starting this GoFundMe because my Dad, Luis Alberto Llapa Guiracocha, was kidnapped by ICE while going to the ATM on December 12, 2025. He was then transferred to Kentucky where he is now being held in detention in very harsh conditions. My heart aches for my Dad and every day without him feels like a piece of me is missing.

 

My father is the most loving and supportive Dad in the world. He has always been there for me, providing guidance, financial support and encouragement. He works incredibly hard to provide for our family. His dedication to our well-being is unwavering and his absence has left a huge void in our lives.

 

Beyond his role as a father, my Dad is a valuable member of our community. He has lived in the US for 30 years. He is always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need and his kindness and generosity have touched the lives of many. He is a man of strong moral character and his presence enriches the lives of everyone around him. My 3 siblings, my mom, our extended family and I are all here and missing him.

The funds raised here will go towards the legal fight to bring him back home, help our family in his absence and make sure he has something to start with upon his release.

When he was detained over a month ago he had all his documents on him and every right to be here. His next hearing is on April 13, which will be 4 months in detainment for no reason.
