Hi, my name is Madeline Ramos Delgado. I am creating this GoFundMe to ask for help during a very difficult time for my family. My husband, Ledgar Ramses Delgado, is from Venezuela. He came to the United States two years ago in search of a better life. On August 28th, he had an immigration appointment in Miramar, Florida. At that appointment, ICE detained him. The only record he had was a traffic violation, which he had already paid for. Since then, he has been in custody. He was first held at the Miramar facility, then transferred to Krome Detention Center, where he remained for a month. While there, we even finalized and signed our marriage certificate. But on September 29th, without warning, he was told to pack his belongings and was transferred to El Paso, Texas (Camp Montana Detention Center). This has been heartbreaking and very hard for us. Ledgar is a hardworking man—he cleaned pools for a living and always helped me take care of our home and our dogs. He has always made sure we were okay, and now I am doing my best to fight for him. Any support you can give—whether through donations, prayers, or sharing this campaign—means the world to me. Thank you so much, and God bless you. ❤️ now he has been moved to otero county processing in New Mexico pending deportation please help Thank you to everyone supporting me during this transition. I updated my GoFundMe so donations can go directly toward essentials for my move to New Mexico — gas, temporary lodging, food, supplies for my dogs, and getting settled while I transition into my new teaching opportunity. Every bit truly helps more than you know. ❤️
