Bring KC Home – A Son, A Caregiver, An American at Heart
KC was born in a Thai refugee camp in 1979, the son of Lao refugees who fled the devastating bombings of their homeland. At just one year old, he was brought to the United States, and for the past 45 years, he has called Rhode Island home. His memories, his family, and his life are here.

After the passing of his father in 2000, KC became the sole caregiver for his mother. She describes him as kind-hearted, soft-spoken, and deeply devoted to family and community. Despite a few mistakes in his past, KC has always been someone who cares for others and puts loved ones first.

Today, KC faces deportation to a country he has never set foot in—a place where he has no family, no home, and no support. This is not justice. It’s a cruel punishment that separates a devoted son from the mother who depends on him.

We’re asking for your help to #BringKCHome. Please consider contributing to support legal costs and the fight to keep him in the only home he has ever known.

He is not just a statistic. He is a son. A neighbor. A Rhode Islander. A refugee-turned-American.
Let’s stand for compassion. Let’s stand with KC.
