I am raising funds for my daughter-in-law, Kenia, who is currently in ICE custody. She has been torn away from her son, my 2-year-old grandson Nico, and from my son. Nico is extremely attached to his mama and is having an awful time adjusting without her at home. This separation has been heartbreaking for our family, and we are doing everything we can to bring Kenia home.

During Kenia's recent immigration hearing, the judge reviewed her file and history and found her eligible for bond, which we understand is uncommon. The judge allowed her to be released on bond while she continues fighting her case to remain in the U.S. Kenia came here legally as an infant on a visa, and that visa expired in 2015 when she was still a child. She also has no criminal history.

Right now, the immediate need is to cover the $1,800 bond and the 42B Application for Cancellation of Deportation. The application fee is due by 08/26 in order for Kenia to be released. This support will help with the legal steps needed to reunite Kenia with her little boy and family while her case continues.
