My name is Suzana Tapia and I have been a community leader and advocate for over 30 years.  I have worked on many environmental issues that affect the quality of life of our communities, including challenging our state and federal agencies to protect our residents from big polluters.  I have organized and educated our communities on lead poisoning and brought awareness to parents on drug and gang related violence.  I have also worked with our schools to promote parent participation and accountability.   I have worked with organizations and women shelters to rescue our battered women and their children from a violent environment.   

Truth be told, I am very passionate about helping our communities.  Today I am excited and hopeful that our community and businesses in Pico Rivera have come together to bring a ray of light to our disadvantaged seniors this Christmas! 

Our goal is to raise $10,000.00 to provide a meaningful gift to 250 less fortunate seniors.  Unfortunately, there is a great need for help in our elderly communities.

During these very difficult times, please join us in giving to our elderly who have traveled their journey in life and have found themselves lonely and in great need of a helping hand.  

Together, we can brighten up their hearts and bring them joy this Christmas season.
