Hello, I’m Terry Okey, I run Kids Bike Day and we have a wonderful opportunity to do something great together.

At Kids Bike Day we have a collection of 100 kids bikes, trikes, wagons, big wheels, green machines and more, and we take them to underprivileged neighborhoods and let the kids ride all day for free! The kids AND the parents have a blast.

On Sunday May 3rd, we have the chance to bring the bikes to over 100 wonderful kids in south San Diego. The Jackie Robinson YMCA in National City has given us the go ahead to use their parking lot to have a big ride for their community and all we need to do is raise enough money to pay the costs of the rental truck, gas, insurance, helmets for safety, and the site fee. It all comes to about $2200. That only $20 per child for an afternoon of exercise and joy. These deserving families and I, would really appreciate it if you could sponsor one or two, or more children by donating $20, $40, or even $100 to get us to our goal, get this truck on the road and make this event happen.

At Kids Bike Day our mission is to provide a free day of bike riding for low income children so that they experience a greater sense of opportunity and power in their lives, encouraging healthy habits, and building community.

When the children come to our events, and they see all the incredible bikes, and adults who volunteer, who help out, and donate money they are overjoyed and most of them ride all day.
