Hi, I’m Vinny, a volunteer with The Mom Squad, a grassroots volunteer and donor group based on the Upper West Side. For the past 10 years, my family, friends, and I have been working hard to support our community through fellowship events, donation drives, and by providing essential supplies to those in need.

One of our most cherished initiatives is Soup & Songs, a monthly program that brings together older adult residents of Homeward NYC for an evening of music and a warm, nutritious meal. It's a beautiful opportunity for these seniors to relax, enjoy good music, and share a meal in a welcoming, intimate environment. Sometimes the music is provided by one of the seniors themselves, who brings their boombox, or by local musicians who volunteer their time to bring joy to the group.

Now, I’m reaching out because I’m dedicated to ensuring that these seniors, who have come through many challenges in their lives, continue to create beautiful memories in their final years. We often don’t know how much time we have left, and it’s so important to me that we give them experiences they’ll cherish. That’s why I’m raising $1,500 to keep Soup & Songs going, so that we can bring joy, connection, and meaningful moments to these seniors before it's too late. They deserve to be celebrated, to feel loved, and to have memories they can hold on to, and our volunteers get so much out of joining with the seniors for this event.

No amount is too small – every contribution helps us ensure that these seniors have a chance to be part of something special. Together, we can make sure they continue to have nights filled with music, laughter, and love.
