Hi, my name is Tiffeny Elliott. I’m the daughter of Lorraine Elliott, the most beautiful, vivacious, giving, and loving mother a family could have. She is someone who has always tried to enjoy her life to the fullest. She’s always done her best to take care of her family in the best way that she’s known how. She lost our grandmother almost 3 years ago, and our family has never quite been the same. I don’t know if it was the stress of grandmother’s loss or just life’s surprises, but my mother has lost her vision. She is completely blind in her left eye, which is the most dominant, and is mostly and definitely legally blind in her right eye. This has changed her life forever. There are things that we can do cosmetically once a prosthetic becomes a certainty. The loss that she feels is something that I or you could never completely understand. It changes your personal life, who you talk to regularly, how you take care of yourself, and who has to do most of that for you. Getting into programs and getting help is not always as easy as one might hope.
My mother put her life on hold to take care of my grandmother in the most horrific way to die in my opinion Alzheimer’s it was a slow death that happened over again every day. We tried to be as private as we could, and the stress has changed my mom‘s life. She can no longer work drive cook clean dress herself or put makeup on.
If you know my mom, you would understand how these small tasks can break you down day by day. I’m not asking for a miracle. I just want to get my mom more mobile. I can’t thank you enough. The people in her life that have meant so much to her be the ones to make her life even the slightest bit better.

My hope for my mother right now is to keep her motivated, stimulated, and physically healthy. I am turning to GoFundMe at this point to ask for some small help. I would like to help her receive the tools that she needs for her physical therapy and strength of her body. My mother has always been vivacious and fun, and I don’t want to see any more light dim from her eyes than I already have. I need her to fight. Not that she isn’t, but it’s our job to keep her going and spirits up even when it’s not easy for her to do it herself.

Seeing a dog would be quite wonderful, but we all know the expense.
My mother has given to countless people in her places of work and in her personal life that have had sicknesses or been down Troughton or just needed help or a friend. I hope that people that see her generosity will help with what they can. Thank you all again and we love you.

I am begging for a side-by-side tandem tricycle so that we, as a family, can get her moving again. So friends and family, even in these hard times when it’s hard to ask or even to help sometimes, please think about us. We love you.
