Help Bring Joy Back to Saida’s Life

Saida is a beautiful, bright seven-year-old girl whose world changed in an instant. Once full of sparkle and joy, she now faces terrifying nightmares, constant fear, and endless questions about why this happened to her. She wonders why she was chosen and why someone would do this to her. The emergency room staff told her family she is lucky to be alive, and they continue to bear the heavy toll of watching their beloved daughter endure this unimaginable pain.

On October 8th, 2024, while playing at Ryan Park in Detroit, Saida became the victim of a horrific attack. She was approached by an assailant who, without provocation, grabbed her head, tilted it back, and slashed her throat. He then attempted to stab her again. Saida’s grandmother, who was nearby, was also threatened by the attacker before he fled. This traumatic event has left Saida fearful of places that once brought her joy and questioning her safety in the world.

We want to give Saida and her family a chance to heal and rediscover hope. Saida has always dreamed of going to Disneyland, a place where every child’s imagination can come alive. This trip would offer her a much-needed escape and a chance to feel joy again.

Beyond this trip, Saida’s family has practical needs. Her mother needs reliable transportation to take Saida to her treatments, school, and activities that could lift her spirits and bring some normalcy back to her life.
