Bring Jose Back to His Family

Hello, My name is Jacqueline Hernandez Gomez, I have 2 siblings, Yvonne and Jesus. My mother is Margarita Gomez Hernandez, and my dear father is Jose Ramon Hernandez Meraz. My father was wrongfully detained on July 12 around 11:45am. The cops during that time did not do a proper investigation and took my father into custody without any type of evidence. My father was accused of third degree battery class C misdemeanor, for absolutely nothing! Due to the reason of him being detained, immigration got involved and on Tuesday July 16 around 11:55am my mother received a call saying that he was being taken to the ICE facility in Louisiana. My father has been in Louisiana since Tuesday, and our family has been broken ever since. We are in search of any lawyers that could help with my fathers case.

A little bit about my father, My father is a 46 year old male, born and raised in Mexico, but came to the USA for a better future for his family, in 2002 he met my mother and fell madly in love, and my mother introduced my brother to him and took him in like a son of his own. In 2003, I came along (Jacqueline), and in 2006 my little sister came into our lives, and our lives have been amazing ever since then. My father is a hardworking man, honest, and always makes sure to put other people first instead of himself. My father loves to work on cars, and loves to be outside moving at all times! My father has always been there for my mother no matter what, through surgery, family problems, and through arguments. My mother is sick, due to procedures that she has had in the past and a new procedure coming up this year possibly as well. My mother is heartbroken due to the fact my father is not with us, and is affecting her mentally and physically.

I joined the Army in August of 2023, and the one person that always kept me motivated was my father, because he has always done everything for the family. The first thing I looked forward to on family day was the hug from my father, and he was the first person to tap me out and give me the hug I needed. I joined the military for school, for our country, and for my parents to have better opportunities. My brother has always been with my father no matter what. My brother tries to work on cars with my father, or help him build benches and sheds. My dear little sister is there for my dad to paint his nails, mess with him, wax his ear hairs, and give him the unconditional love since my brother and I moved out.

I do this to raise awareness to the situation that happened, and thank you for all the phone calls, prayers, and messages we have received so far. Anything is helpful, especially a prayer for my father, Jose.
