On November 10th, my husband, son, friend, and brother to many, Jaime Calderon, was detained by border patrol in McAllen, TX, while trying to go through TSA. Jaime is waiting for a court hearing for adjustment of status and has a work permit. Jaime has been waiting patiently for his court that has been postponed since 2020. He has a clean record and he’s not a criminal. He has made a life here and has been here for over a decade. Jaime is active in the community and is a great friend. He’s a photographer and videographer. He belongs to several local soccer teams.
Jaime is a great man, a very compassionate and thoughtful human being. I feel heartbroken about the situation and worried about losing him to a system that often moves too quickly and without compassion. I’m in disbelief about what is going on in our country.
From the bottom of our hearts and for the great friends and family we’ve both made here over the years in this country of opportunity, we thank you for standing with us during this terrible and painful time. Our family is grateful for every prayer, share, and contribution. I’m keeping my faith strong and my hope that everything will be for the best outcome for Jaime!
We want Jaime home,
I want my family complete again.
