I’m currently developing a new online platform for Hoxne — a central place where residents and visitors can easily find local news, events, organisations, businesses, and important information about the village.

So far, I’ve already put around 80 hours (eye bags will show this!) into building the platform, and I’m really passionate about creating something genuinely useful for the community.

As part of this, I’ve been trying to secure the domain name Hoxne.co.uk — a simple, memorable web address that truly represents our village. I’d love to be able to bring it back where it belongs.

Unfortunately, the domain is owned by a company that has bought up thousands of UK village and town names. Their original asking price was £2,500, but after negotiating, I’ve managed to reduce this to £450.

While that’s a big improvement, it’s still a significant cost — and not something I can realistically fund alone, especially as this project is being built for the benefit of the whole community.
