From one day to the next, my friend’s life changed completely.

Just a short time ago, she was living a normal life—working, laughing, spending time with her family—never imagining that she would soon face one of the most difficult battles of her life.

An unexpected medical emergency sent her to the hospital, where doctors initially feared the worst. The situation was so critical that we were told to prepare ourselves emotionally for the outcome. But she fought. Against all odds, she survived. A true miracle.

Unfortunately, this miracle comes with a new and devastating challenge.

Because of the severity of her condition, doctors have informed us that she will need to undergo amputation of her lower extremities in order to save her life. This means multiple surgeries, intensive care, prosthetics, and a long, painful rehabilitation process.

My friend does not have medical insurance, which makes this situation even more overwhelming. The cost of surgery, hospitalization, equipment, medications, prosthetics, and physical therapy is extremely high.

That is why I am reaching out today.

This fundraiser is to help her face this incredibly difficult journey, to give her the chance to recover with dignity, and to help her regain independence in the future. Every donation—no matter how big or small—will go directly toward her surgeries, hospital care, prosthetics, medications, and rehabilitation.

She has already shown unbelievable strength and a will to live.

De un día para otro, la vida de mi amiga cambió por completo.

Hace apenas unas semanas estaba llevando una vida normal, trabajando y compartiendo con su familia, sin imaginar que pronto enfrentaría una de las pruebas más duras de su vida.

Un problema de salud inesperado la llevó de urgencia al hospital, donde los médicos inicialmente temían lo peor. La situación era tan crítica que nos dijeron que preparáramos lo emocionalmente inevitable. Pero ella es una guerrera. Contra todo pronóstico, logró sobrevivir. Un verdadero milagro.

Sin embargo, ese triunfo trajo consigo un nuevo desafío.

Debido a la gravedad de su condición, los médicos han informado que será necesario amputar sus extremidades inferiores para poder salvarle la vida. Este proceso incluye varias cirugías, cuidados intensivos, prótesis y una rehabilitación larga y dolorosa.

Mi amiga no tiene seguro médico, lo cual hace esta situación aún más difícil. Los costos médicos, las operaciones, los tratamientos, la rehabilitación y las adaptaciones que necesitará para recuperar parte de su movilidad son extremadamente altos.

Por eso hoy recurro a ustedes.

Esta campaña busca ayudarla a enfrentar esta etapa tan dura, darle la oportunidad de una recuperación digna y permitirle volver a tener independencia en el futuro.
