<div>From one day to the next, my friend’s life changed completely.

<div>Just a short time ago, she was living a normal life—working, laughing, spending time with her family—never imagining that she would soon face one of the most difficult battles of her life.

<div>An unexpected medical emergency sent her to the hospital, where doctors initially feared the worst. The situation was so critical that we were told to prepare ourselves emotionally for the outcome. But she fought. Against all odds, she survived. A true miracle.

<div>Unfortunately, this miracle comes with a new and devastating challenge.

<div>Because of the severity of her condition, doctors have informed us that she will need to undergo amputation of her lower extremities in order to save her life. This means multiple surgeries, intensive care, prosthetics, and a long, painful rehabilitation process.

<div>My friend does not have medical insurance, which makes this situation even more overwhelming. The cost of surgery, hospitalization, equipment, medications, prosthetics, and physical therapy is extremely high.

<div>This fundraiser is to help her face this incredibly difficult journey, to give her the chance to recover with dignity, and to help her regain independence in the future. <div>Mi amiga no tiene seguro médico, lo cual hace esta situación aún más difícil. Los costos médicos, las operaciones, los tratamientos, la rehabilitación y las adaptaciones que necesitará para recuperar parte de su movilidad son extremadamente altos.
