Bring home Papa for Christmas!!

Donation protected
All they want for Christmas this year is their Papa. It’s a long story…

In the winter of 2015 while living in Germany, my sister-in-law Jennifer's husband Frank, became very ill. Because there was no clear diagnosis, he was transferred to five different hospitals. Since there was no improvement, they finally brought him home. He was wheelchair bound and had great memory loss. She nursed and cared for him and through the grace of God, he has been able to walk again and most of his memory has returned. But they have experienced financial difficulties for the past several years.

As Jen’s extended family lived in America she dealt with the bulk of the burden alone: caring for her husband, their children, home, yard, finances, therapies, etc. Finally, she decided this past year to bring their family to America where they could have the support of her family. They sold their home and had to give up most of what they had, only bringing clothes and a few mementos.

Here in America, Jen earns some money here and there. But they just can't seem to get ahead as Frank, a German national, has to continue to fly back and forth to Germany every three months while he is working on a permanent visa to live and work here.  This has been really hard on their family. Most of their money is used for airfare. Last year, Frank had to stay in Germany over Christmas. However, there is light at the end of this tunnel--they are finally at the end of the visa process!

Their last hurdle is a financial one.  He is stuck there until they can come up with more funds for some final expenses. He needs a medical exam including lab work (all out of pocket). He needs to pay for the last visa payment and he’ll need airfare home. On top of that, they found out there are some extra German tax bills that need to be paid by the end of year.  She used what little they did have to pay for airfare and other necessary expenses while he is in Germany.

They have endured a lot and just want to put this chapter of life behind them and be able to move on.  Frank would very much like to provide for his family again, but this can only happen with him finally getting his Visa.  Please help this family be reunited for Christmas and help give Frank a chance to provide for his family.

Thanks in advance for your kindness--every little bit helps!
