Bring Home Baby Scroggin!

We are the Scroggin's Family! 

My name is Jessica, and along with my husband Richard and our two fur-babies Rocko and Roxie, we can't thank you enough for stopping by our page. 

In 2011 I was enrolled at Fresno State, on track to get my teaching credential. I was engaged, expecting to be happily married to the love of my life within that year. It seemed like life was idyllic. That year is when I was given the life changing diagnosis: Endometrial Sarcoma of the Uterine wall. Uterine cancer was the last thing I expected to hear. 

Thankfully, it was caught soon enough that I was able to undergo surgical procedures, and have been in remission ever since. 

Fast forward to 2018: I have a loving husband, and our marriage is going on strong with six years under our belt. We rescued two puppies from the SPCA and have devoted our love to them -- we work hard to give our fur children such a good life!

But now we would like to work even harder to give a human baby a good life. Both Richard and I are gainfully employed (Richard works in IT and I work in education) but the funds needed to adopt a baby are so astronomical that we are asking for any help that can be provided. 

We are currently on track to both Foster-to-Adopt, along with Domestic Adoption; The difference being that Domestic Adoption is done through the birth mother versus us fostering. The money we are fundraising goes towards the fees needed to make this dream a reality. 

I've always dreamt of being a mother, and I know that I have so much more love to give. Now, with the help of friends, family and the kindness of strangers, I am trying to take back something that a disease has forcibly taken from me. 

Any amount that you can give is going toward giving a baby a chance to be loved and cherished and to have a chance at a life where they can thrive.
