Help bring home a father with a down syndrome son who needs him : Victim of ICE raids
My name is Anthony Garcia and my step-dad Rene Pineda, a car wash employee was taken.
Rene Francisco Pineda Pineda is a father with two children , one middle school daughter Suri Pineda and one elementary school son Nicholas Pineda with Down syndrome. He has been living in Long Beach, California for 20+ years. He is a car wash worker in San Gabriel at Mission Car wash and has no criminal record. He has a permanent infection in his right knee that has left him with partial use of his leg and taking multiple antibiotics daily. Despite this, he continues to work hard and provide for his family.
On Friday October 10 2025, approx. 11am at Mission Car Wash, Rene was taken by ICE and detained currently at Adelanto ICE Processing Center. He has left behind two children and his significant other without his financial support. We are working with lawyers to get Rene back to his children and family but the legal fees are becoming too much and sudden.
My little brother Nicolas, who has down syndrome, has been heavily affected by the loss of his father. Trouble sleeping, asking for his absent father constantly and with his condition is incredibly hard to manage. Rene is a loving father who daily loved Nicolas with affection and attention.
My younger sister Suri also is having a difficult time, crying suddenly whenever anything reminds her of her father and having anxiety whenever she leaves the house.
My mom has had the most difficult time as both having to worry about my two siblings and Rene. She hardly sleeps at all with worry and stress. She even had a panic attack and concerns me to no end for her health.
Rene is a loving father who even has enough love for me as step-son and I miss him along with my mom and siblings. He is an outgoing individual who respects everyone and always brings a beautiful energy to any conversation.
I am here asking for your support, whether through a donation for legal fees or by sharing our story to raise awareness. Every prayer, share, and contribution brings us one step closer to bringing my step-dad home.
From the bottom of my heart and my family, Thank you for all your help.
