This year, I will be doing a fundraiser again for the Bingen homeless shelter. I will be having a Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner with all the fixings. Pictures of all the receipts will be posted afterward. Most of the people in the shelter have gone through unfortunate circumstances to be there. Having a Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner can ease a lot of the pressures while they are looking for permanent housing. A Christmas tree was already purchased with all the ornaments several years ago with a previous donation. With the generous donations, I will purchase things like hygiene necessities, such as shampoo, conditioner, brushes, toothpaste, socks, first aid kits, razors, pocket mirrors, etc. Many in the shelter work, so I will get fuel cards to help. Some request warm clothes, so I will get jackets, hats, pants, etc. There are children every year, so I will get Walmart gift cards for their presents under the tree. I will post pictures of all the items and receipts of everything purchased. I know as the holiday approaches, money is tough. Even a one-dollar donation can make a difference in these people’s lives.
