Target: £20,000

For as long as most of us can remember, Beckenham High Street has lit up for Christmas, driven by the dedication of local residents' and generosity of local businesses. This year the Beckenham Christmas Lights Committee is asking for your help again, and we would love your support.

A new committee is taking over from an incredibly dedicated group, some of whom have been organising these lights for 30+ years, to whom we can only give our profound thanks for all their hard work.

This year we are once again working with our established lighting partner, to help bring a magically festive scheme to our High Street. In order to get our shop front twinkle lights, lamppost motifs, street crossing and Christmas trees, as well as cover costs including installation, decommissioning and licences among others, we are aiming to raise £20,000.

None of this happens without the community.

There is no single business or sponsor covering the full cost - the lights only go up because local people choose to support us - so every donation genuinely makes a difference, whether it's £1 or £1,000.

Please give what you can so we can get everything in place for the switch-on. Let's light up Beckenham together again this Christmas.

Thank you for your support.
