We’re raising funds to bring my daughter home from Sri Lanka after unexpected airspace closures effected her return home via Doha. She can reroute through Thailand. Which has come as a considerable unexpected cost. Any contribution will help cover these sudden travel costs and get her home safely.

A little about Emily, she loves to travel and had joined her friend Olivia for her 1st leg of travelling Asia. Olivia continued her travels on Sunday 1st March and Emily was due to return to the UK in the early hours of Monday 2nd March, that flight was subsequently cancelled and rebooked for the 3rd, after communicating with British Airways prior to the departure she was advised it was still scheduled, she arrived at Colombo airport to be told this flight had been cancelled!

Emily’s birthday is on the 8th and she was due to holiday again on the 7th with her boyfriend. This will no longer happen as Emily will be navigating her way back to the UK on that weekend. As you can imagine they have both lost most of the cost of that holiday. As her mother if you know me, I’ve already had a very trying year and I just want my baby girl home safely. I am a very proud person and have only ever asked my mum for financial help. This has taken a lot to swallow my pride and create this fundraiser.
