My name is Adna, and I’m raising funds to support orphans and struggling families in Garowe and Galkayo, Somalia, this Eid.
With the blessed days of Dhul-Hijjah approaching, when good deeds are especially beloved to Allah, this is one of the best times to give. The Prophet ﷺ said:
“There are no days in which righteous deeds are more beloved to Allah than these ten days.”
Where Your Donations Go:
Local Distribution
- Donations are sent directly from the U.S. (Minnesota and beyond) to Garowe and Galkayo
- Aid is organized and distributed by trusted family members, my aunt, and community volunteers
- Primary distribution sites include Masjid Ibaad ul Rahman in Garowe, which supports 60 orphaned or vulnerable children closely connected to the masjid
What Your Donations Cover
- Eid clothes for orphaned children and others in need
- Financial support for struggling families so they can celebrate Eid with dignity
Why This Matters
This effort has been ongoing for years by my mother, aunts, and local community members, quietly providing Eid aid year after year. This year, I’m stepping in to expand the effort through public fundraising
This is a one-time campaign with no middlemen, no admin fees, just direct, local impact
