Bring Doaa Arafat's Loved Ones to Egypt

Hello, my name is Rokhiya and I’m starting a fundraiser for my close friend and sister, Doaa Arafat, who originally evacuated from Gaza and is currently residing in Egypt. I want to reunite her with the rest of her family members who are still trapped in Gaza. Her siblings have been volunteering with Slice of Hope to deliver food, water, and give shelter to displaced families. I really want to help raise money to bring the rest of her family to Egypt so that they too can escape the ongoing genocide. The funds that will be donated will be used to support the paperwork needed by the Egyptian government so that Doaa’s family members can come from Rafah to Palestine.

Hello, my name is Doaa Arafat from the destroyed Gaza Strip in Palestine, and in one of my photos, I share the rubble of my house that has been destroyed.

Prior to Oct 7, my husband and I were in Egypt without my four children, where I was receiving chemotherapy treatment for the tumor on my thyroid. Initially, I was receiving improper treatment at the first hospital, and Alhamdulillah, I moved to a different hospital for the right treatment. When Oct 7 happened, my 4 children, mom, and dad were stuck in Gaza, and we were able to evacuate them to Egypt because they had a passport. They have been with us now for 1 month. My 16-year-old brother and my husband’s mom, dad, and sister are still stuck in Gaza. It costs $5,000 per person to bring them to Egypt through the Hala organization. They are the government organization that helps with the paperwork and travel between Rafah and Egypt. Unfortunately, I do not have this money now.

We are currently in Egypt with no income, very little clothes, and our entire life is destroyed in Gaza. I was able to sell my gold to help us a little, but eventually, the money will be finished.

Alhamdulillah, I have survived death from the tumor and all of us from the genocide in Gaza, but we need help to bring my brother and my husband’s sister and parents to safety so they too can have a chance of survival. Our top priority is the safety of my family and then any extra support while we get back on our feet again. Any donation amount can help me and my family with this journey. I thank you!
