I’m Daniel Rodrigo Heredia Escutia’s comadre. I am raising money for Daniel and his family as he was recently deported. He will need the funds to pay legal fees, immigration document processing fees, and to temporarily relocate his family.
Daniel resides in Denver, CO and is undocumented and has been living in the United States for 21 years. He applied for residency status in 2016 and recently had his interview in Juárez at which time he was denied a visa for residency. The reason for this denial was due to the fact that he didn’t recall the exact date of his initial entry into the country. On his application he put January 1st, 2001 estimating his initial crossing. He was a child when he crossed the border and therefore could not recall the exact date. He did not willingly provide false information to the immigration officer and furthermore, was not given an opportunity to explain himself.
We are heartbroken to find out that Daniel Rodrigo Heredia Escutia, has been deported. Daniel is an upstanding member of our community. He is a family man and provider for his wife, Grisel and his three children, Daniel, Rodrigo, and Valery all of whom are U.S. citizens. If Daniel is not granted residency in this country, the result will be catastrophic for his family. His children and wife’s lives will be upended. Their mental health will undoubtedly suffer. Relocating the family will be traumatic for the family and community. Their safety would be at stake as they would not have their father to protect them in times of urgent need.
