Our beloved 97-year-old Nanay (grandma), Soledad, in the Philippines has been ill. Three weeks ago, she was hospitalized after becoming confused and experiencing hallucinations. She was diagnosed with pneumonia, given antibiotics, and discharged, but her condition worsened. She struggled to breathe, stopped eating and drinking, and became very weak and lethargic.
On September 4th, she was rushed back to the hospital. The pneumonia was not cleared with the antibiotics, and fluid has now filled her lungs. An NG tube was placed, and we’ve just learned that her kidneys are failing. Heartbreakingly, she has told us she believes she only has a couple of days left.
We took an emergency flight home to be by her side. Our biggest wish is for her to be discharged home to be able to rest in the comfort of her own home and surrounded by her family. Unfortunately, the hospital will not release her until the remaining balance is paid. Out of her 8 children, only my mother lives in the U.S., and our family’s funds are quickly running out.
We’re humbly asking for any support, no amount is too small. If you're unable to donate, even sharing this would mean the world to us.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for helping!
