Bring Chad and His Son Together

On February 1st, my amazing little brother Chad was given some shocking news. The woman he had been in a long-term committed relationship with had become pregnant and given birth on January 26th. She then informed him that she had given the baby, a little boy, up for adoption and that he would be hearing from an attorney.

Immediately, Chad knew that he needed his son in his life. After informing our immediate family and sharing his news, our little village started moving. With help from friends, we were able to get in contact with an attorney immediately and started the process.

Like with all legal matters, the fees keep growing and we know that in the end, Chad will need money to get a life started for him and his son.

I was blessed to be Chad's big sister, and I have seen how amazing he is with my children and our other nieces and nephews. Now that Chad is a dad, I have also seen the shift. The moment life is no longer about you but something and someone is bigger. Chad hasn’t met his son yet and that is the next step, a paternity test to officially be called his father by the courts, and then hopefully soon he will get to hold his son for the first time.

We are reaching out to our friends and family to help with the financial side of things. Anything we can do to help Chad focus on his son and not worry about where he is going to come up with money for the court fees and retainers.
