Igloo Wonderland is a Christmas light display our family of seven lovingly built in Murrieta, CA for the past three years because Christmas has always been the heart of our home, and we wanted to share that joy with our community. What started as a simple family tradition grew into a magical walk-through space where children laughed, parents took photos, and neighbors felt a sense of connection and holiday spirit. This year, despite the happiness it brought, the city shut us down, and we were told we couldn’t get a permit simply because our display was in a residential area. It was heartbreaking for our family to watch excited visitors arrive, only for us to gently turn them away from something made with so much love, time, and our own savings. We are raising funds to help recover what we invested, protect and improve our decorations, and hopefully find a way to bring Igloo Wonderland back—so our family can continue sharing the magic of Christmas with the community that inspired us to create it in the first place.
