Bring Back the Bike for a Local Hero’s Birthday

Last year, my husband made a huge sacrifice — he sold his beloved motorbike so we could afford a deposit on our home. It was more than just a bike to him; it was his passion, his escape, and a symbol of years of hard work. He sold it to a close friend, hoping someday he might be able to get it back.

Now, that day might finally be here.

His friend is willing to sell the bike back to us, and we’d love to surprise him with it for his birthday this month. He misses it deeply, and seeing it again would mean the world to him.

But this isn’t just about a bike — it’s about giving something back to someone who gives so much.

My husband is well-known around Southampton for volunteering his time to help people recover stolen motorbikes. He's often called “the thief's nightmare and the owner's dream” because of his relentless effort to reunite people with their stolen rides. He does this all without asking for anything in return — just out of love for the community and the biking world.

We’re hoping to raise £2,750 to buy his bike back and make his birthday truly unforgettable.

Any amount, no matter how small, will help us reach our goal and give back to someone who’s always giving to others.
