Hi, I'm Edgar Gomez. My daughter and stepdaughter are missing out on fun because they have a nuisance that I'm pretty sure every adult has, or knows someone who has, had to deal with: head lice. They are missing out on so much fun and events because of it, and it's just not fair to them. Parties, sleepovers with friends and family, public events—all that. I hate to see them suffer. Their mother is the greatest provider ever, but she's having to do this all on her own and that is just not fair to her. With typical life bills, rent, PG&E, gas, phones, it's hard. I wish I could have the lice instead and let them run around with their beautiful smiles, worry-free.
Even though their mom and I are no longer together, she still co-parents with me amazingly with absolutely zero drama. Given life circumstances, I'm currently housed in a shelter and am not able to help with the clinical treatment it takes to get rid of these pests. The medicine you buy at the store takes weeks for it to maybe work, and it causes them lots of pain with the hours of combing, and sometimes it flat out doesn't work. There is a clinic in town that does a one-time treatment and the pests are gone for good. As we all know, you can't just do one child at a time because they will come right back, so money was just wasted. I wish I had the money myself because I would do it in a heartbeat. The treatment is painless and very effective, but it's $195 a child. They are a great business here in town called Lice Clinics of America. They have had these long enough. If I had anything valuable, I would immediately sell it for the funds, but that is not the case. Please, any help is appreciated. They have had these long enough. 1 day is too long. Anything would be appreciated. Thank you for taking the time to read this; the smallest amount helps, all funds will go directly to my girls.
