Bring Back North Philly Scanner Feeds

Hello Philly Scanner Feeds listeners,

As you may know, the Philadelphia Fire and Police North Division scanner feeds have been shut down since December 2024. Many of you have asked for the feed to come back online. This can be done, but I can’t do it without your help.

Voluntarily hosting the scanner feeds is a cause close to my heart because, coming from a family of first responders, I know the comfort that comes with knowing what is happening around you and your loved ones. Having the feeds online makes a huge impact in the lives of residents, employees, and relatives of the people located in the area the feeds cover. This is the reason I have been operating the Philadelphia Fire and Police South Division, Chester County, and Delaware County feeds since April 2010.

I have received many requests for me to take over the abandoned Philadelphia North Division feeds. In order to do this, I need to purchase new equipment to produce the audio needed for the feeds.

The required equipment to operate 5 additional feeds are as follows:

Yagi antenna 824mhz - 960mhz, $85 each x 5 = $425

40’ of LMR400 cable, $40 each x 5 = $200

Uniden 325P25 scanner, $350 each x 5 = $1750

Uniden 325P25 data cable, $15 each x 5 = $75

USB external sound card adapter, $10 each x 5 = $50

Ground loop noise isolator, $9 each x 5 = $45

USB hub 7-port, $10 each x 2 = $20

The total approximate equipment cost is $2565 plus shipping and taxes.

My efforts to get the Philadelphia Fire and Police North Division feeds back online can’t take effect unless I have the support of those that listen to the feeds. I’m asking all of you to team up and hopefully raise $3000, so I may build the infrastructure for the feeds. A gift from you will help bring the feeds back onto Broadcastify, and for the first time onto Zello. I appreciate any amount you can contribute.
