Help Us Bring the Pink Carpet to More Girls

Black Girl Magic Day launched in Harlem in 2021 as a free Pink Carpet experience for girls ages 2–13 to feel celebrated, confident, and powerful. From beauty stations and gift bags to affirmations and professional photos, everything is designed to build self-worth — and it’s always free for families.

I created Black Girl Magic Day because I grew up wishing I felt beautiful, powerful, and enough — all the things I wasn’t told and didn’t believe when I was younger. I wanted this generation of girls to feel those things early, before the world has a chance to convince them otherwise.

The response was immediate. Families returned. Media platforms like Power 105.1, STAR Magazine, and NY1 highlighted the event. Parents asked when we were bringing it back. Volunteers offered to help. That’s when it became clear this wasn’t just a cute event — it was a cultural gap that needed to exist.

In 2022, we formalized the organization to build something bigger for the girls we serve. After a brief hiatus to reset (we were fully self-funded at the time), we’re relaunching in 2026 — bigger, better, and more intentional. The Pink Carpet returns to New York as our anchor city for 2026, with plans to expand to Atlanta and Los Angeles. Community support is what makes it possible to bring the experience to more cities and more girls.

The Black Girl Magic Day experience includes beauty stations, professional photos, creative kits, giveaways, treats, and a Recognition & Confidence Ceremony. It also features an Inspiration Stage where girls hear from women in media, beauty, arts, entrepreneurship, and entertainment — women they can look up to, relate to, and imagine becoming.

This GoFundMe supports our 2026 comeback, the New York event, and our expansion plans for Atlanta and Los Angeles. Funding helps cover venue, media, volunteers, kits, insurance, and infrastructure that will make Black Girl Magic Day sustainable for years to come.

Thank you for helping us create a platform that pours confidence, joy, and representation into the next generation.
