We are Colton and Cheyenne Lowe. We have been married over 5 years and reside in Lawrence, KS. Even before marriage, we dreamed of adoption. It has always been in our hearts. We knew we would adopt from the start. Cheyenne’s siblings are both adopted from India and she had the privilege of going to India to get them. She was forever changed and her eyes were permanently opened to a large, beautiful, and broken world. Colton joined this calling and embraced this dream from the start, and finally in August 2021, we both knew the time was now.

 

We have fallen in love with the beauty of India, the precious people, and the culture. But with this beauty comes unimaginable poverty, as well as 30,000,000 abandoned children. Many of these children are malnourished, are special needs, and live on the streets. For the ones who make it into institutions but are never adopted, a high percentage are trafficked. These children desperately need love, medical care, their basic needs met - they need homes. This is something we have committed to do. We have seen the beauty of adoption first hand and know this is one reason we have been put on earth.

 

International adoption is no small process. It is long, filled with paperwork, legal formalities, training, and months of waiting. As we finish up the first stage of paperwork, we will soon be put on the special needs waiting list to be matched with a child soon after that. Overall, we have needed to raise $45,000. Prior to the creation of this account, by the provision of God and the inspiring generosity of others, we have raised $19,200 so far. That means we have $25,800 to go! This includes all US and India legal fees, agency fees, childcare of our baby while we wait to get them, and 2-3 weeks of travel in India.

 

If you do not feel led or are not in a position to partner with us financially, we ask for your prayers - that this adoption would continue to go smoothly and quickly, that we would be well equipped and prepared to meet the needs of our baby, and that this child would be safe and healthy while waiting to be united with us.

 

There are 150,000,000 orphans worldwide. Not everyone is called to adopt, but we are all called to care for the fatherless in some way. There is true need in this world, and it is within our grasp to make a difference. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you!
