Hi, my name is Andrea and, on Thanksgiving evening, I flew to London with my Auntie Vee to take her to see her brothers, sisters, and extended family for the first time in 30 years. On the flight, she became very sick and started to vomit. By Saturday, November 25th, her situation became much more dire and she was admitted to the hospital.

She was immediately intubated and put into an induced coma. She is still in the coma and had to have emergency surgery to remove her spleen. The doctors do not know when she will recover and every day we are praying that she gets better.

Due to the unforeseen emergency, I had to cancel our tickets back to the US and fly out her daughter, so that she could be with her mother. Additionally, I had to rent an apartment for the next month (currently rented until early Jan) as that is the estimate that we have been given by the doctors. Thus far, I have spent $8,000.

We will be in London until we are able to take Auntie Vee home. We are asking for money to help with unexpected living expenses (household items, food, travel to hospital from AIrBnb), travel expenses for us to return back to the US (3 return tickets), and potential hospital expenses if/when Auntie Vee is moved from ICU to hospital care.
