Hi, my name is Ana, and I’m 14 years old. On Thursday, during my fall break, I faced the hardest moment of my life. My parents had just taken my little brother to daycare as they always do… and suddenly everything changed. I saw my parents handcuffed, people shouting, the fear in their eyes, my dad crying, my mom pleading, and officers in our apartment. Later I learned that ICE detained my parents.

Since that day, I haven’t been able to sleep. My life has completely changed. I’m now caring for my little brother and trying to keep us safe while we look for legal help to reunite our family.

I’m creating this fundraiser to ask for support from our community. Any contribution, no matter the amount, will help us cover legal fees.

Hola, mi nombre es Ana, tengo 14 años. El jueves, durante mi fall break, recibí la noticia más difícil de mi vida. Mis papás llevaron a mi hermanito al daycare como siempre… y de repente todo cambió: vi a mis padres esposados, personas gritando, el miedo en sus ojos, el llanto de mi papá, la voz de mi mamá pidiéndoles a los policías, y agentes nuestro apartamento. Más tarde supe que ICE se llevó a mis papás.

Desde ese día no he podido dormir. Mi vida cambió por completo. Ahora estoy cuidando a mi hermanito y tratando de mantenernos a salvo mientras buscamos ayuda legal para reunirnos con nuestros padres.
