Hi, Adriana Souza-De Campos is my mother-in-law.

Adriana Souza is a mother to four children, a wife, grandmother, and was a resident of Everett, Massachusetts. Two of her children are school-aged US citizens with higher needs. Adriana was also a member of the choir in her local church, God is Love Pentecostal Church in Everett, MA. We are deeply concerned and worried about the treatment and absence of Adriana in both our lives and the community.

Adriana was cooperating with the law and went with her sons to her annual immigration check-in in Burlington, MA on 11/28/2025 during the morning hours. She had committed no crimes. Adriana was arrested and detained following her arrival in front of her younger son.

Over the following days, Adriana was subject to inhumane conditions and treatment. To begin, Burlington ICE Detention Facility does not currently hold the proper permits to house detainees overnight. Adriana shared that her diet consisted solely of ramen noodles. The bathroom area was visible to others in the facility, including the guards. She shared over a brief phone call with her son that the facility was running the air conditioning and that she was given a blanket made of aluminum foil. She added that she was sleeping on concrete tiles. The number of people she shared the space with is unknown. Adriana felt the guards were aggressive. She had the same clothes on her back as of 12/2/2025 and had not showered since her arrest on 11/28/2025. On the night of 12/03/2025, Adriana’s location was updated to the South Louisiana ICE Processing Center and remained so on the website until 12/5/2025. On 12/5/2025, when trying to search for Adriana in the tracking system, the site displayed “0 Results found.” When we contacted the Enforcement and Removal Operations line on 12/05/2025, an agent shared that she was in Burlington, MA. We did not hear from Adriana during this period at all and grew concerned as a family regarding her whereabouts.

As of today, 12/6/2025, Adriana is under ICE Custody in Los Fresnos, TX. We would like to file a Habeas Corpus motion in hopes to release her. We were quoted for a $7500 retainer to begin the motion by Pomerleau PC. If she gets a bond hearing, more legal funding and representation will be required. ALL FUNDS ARE APPRECIATED IN EFFORTS TO BRING OUR FAMILY BACK TOGETHER.
