Bring a Smile to a Mother & Her Baby in Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka is currently facing the worst economic crisis in its history which has gravely affected all the communities in the country. Many pregnant mothers are struggling to afford the bare necessities required for them and their newborns. According to the Family Health Bureau of Sri Lanka, there are about 10,000 mothers who were already facing financial hardships. With the current inflation rates in the country, prices of essential items have skyrocketed and some items have even tripled in price which has put nearly all of them into a dire situation.

 

We are a concerned group of Sri Lankans who understand the burdens of these disadvantaged mothers and their babies. Along with your help, we would like to help them by providing a kit of essential items.

 

Our goal is to raise a minimum of AUD 10,000 which will allow us to donate 250 kits of essential items to these struggling new mothers. We are working closely with the Family Health Bureau which will manage and monitor the distribution process and provide us with the updates which will be shared with the public.
